Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten a test time by recording and reproducing a composite signal of >=2 low-frequency signals by a tape recorder to be tested, or by reproducing a signal on a test tape having a recorded composite signal by the tape recorder to be tested, and then by separating the reproduced signal into the original low-frequency signals through an LPF and an HPF. CONSTITUTION:The outputs of low-frequency oscillators 1 and 2 are synthesized by a mixing amplifier 5. The outputs of low-frequency oscillators 3 and 4 are also synthesized by a mixing amplifier 6. A changeover switch 7 is switched to record the said composite signals from the input terminal of a tape recorder 8 to be tested on a magnetic tape in the tape recorder successively. The reproduced signal of the recorded signal is separated by an LPF9 and an HPF10 into original frequency components, which are outputted. The cutoff frequencies of the filters 9 and 10 are so designed that the signals of the low-frequency oscillators 1 and 3 pass through the LPF9, and those of the low-frequency oscillators 2 and 4 pass through the HPF10.
