Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute a measurement easily and exactly, by constituting so that a block having measured length corresponding to load of a spring to be measured is fitted into a fitting spring installed to a piston, and the load is measured by inserting the spring to be measured, into this block. CONSTITUTION:A spring 16 to be measured is placed on a load cell 17 through a hole 11a of a base plate 11. When a block 22 is fitted into a fitting spring 21, a limit switch 23 is operated, a piston 19 is lowered, and the spring 16 is insered into a hole 22b of the block 22. When the piston 19 is further lowered, the upper end of the spring 16 is allowed to contact with a fixed plate 20, and the spring 16 is further compressed. When the lower end of the block surface 22 is allowed to contact with the base plate 11, compressive load of the spring to be measured is measured. On the contrary, when the spring 16 is fixed between the fixed plate 20 and the load cell 17, and the piston 19 is lifted, tensile load is measured. In this way, a measurement is executed easily and exactly.
