Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a side plate for a case wherein the margins of an outer sheet are turned over to the side plate with a fixing part bent normally to the side plate, by inserting a core plate between a heat-shrinkable inner sheet and the heat-unshrinkable outer sheet with the core plate displaced upward, welding the peripheral edges of the sheets with the lower parts thereof left as the fixing part, and then shrinking the inner sheet by heat.

CONSTITUTION: The heat-shrinkable inner sheet 1 and the heat-unshrinkable outer sheet 2 are lapped, and the core plate 3 is inserted therebetween with the core plate 3 shifted upward so that the lower parts of the inner and outer sheets 1, 2 will serve as the fixing part 4. Then the whole peripheral edges of the inner and outer sheets 1, 2 are welded to one another. Thereafter the whole body is heated to permit the inner sheet to be shrinked, and therefore by this shrinking force, the margins 7 that abut on the edges of the core plate are pulled and turned over to the inner surface of the core plate 3, and the fixing part of the outer sheet 2 is curled to permit the fixing part 4 to bend normally to the side plate 3.
