Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to supply both hot wind and combusting air by use of a single fan by a method wherein a combustion gas passage and a hot wind passage are made to communicate with each other and a choking section for generating a negative pressure is provided at a position in the vicinity of the communicating part of the two passages, in the captioned apparatus such as a fan heater.
CONSTITUTION: When the fan 8 is rotated through a fan motor 9 at the time of combustion of a burner 7, an air stream (a) for producing the hot wind generates and flows through the choking section 22 between a wind regulating plate 14 and an outer cylinder 15 via a passage 21 to thereby produce a compressed air stream zone around the section 22. As a result, a passage 20 and the space within a partition cylinder 13 form a negative pressure zone due to the negative pressure generated in the compressed air stream zone 23 so that the air in a passage 18 and that in a passage 19 are adsorbed into the negative pressure zone through an inner flame cylinder 10 and an outer flame cylinder 11, respectively. On the other hand, a fuel 16 from a wick 17 vaporises and mixes with the sucked air to burn. Further, the resultant combustion gas is sucked in the compressed air stream zone 23 to produce the hot wind (c) by mixing with the air stream (a) and the hot wind is blown out from a blowout port 2.
