Abstract

PURPOSE: To considerably ease the restrictions in the concn. of component elements of a high tensile steel plate occuring in chemical conversion treatment property, paint performance, etc. by depositing specific metallic elements on the high tensile steel plate.
CONSTITUTION: Mn, Ni, Zn, Cu, Co, Mo are electrodeposited alone or in combination at 1W300mg/m2 on a steel plate contg. one or more kind of Si, Nb, Cr, Ti, Al and contg. the sum total of these elements of 0.2W4% in content. At 1mg/m2 rate of the deposition thereof, the effect of improving phosphatability appears but in some cases, parts where phosphate film crystals are coarse are locally produced. At the pickup in excess of 300mg/m2, there is no additionl improvement of phosphatability, and disadvances such as degraded apperance will occur. The surface of the steel strip prior to this electrolysis sholud be of a reduced state or be removed of oxide films by pickling and been cleaned if it is the surface in an oxidized state.
