Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently and inexpensively manufacture the titled containers, by fitting the first cup-shaped member to a stepped part having a smaller diameter at the opened end part of the second cup-shaped member after applying a hot melt adhesives to the stepped part, and, then, appropriately heating and cooling them.
CONSTITUTION: This method is related to the manufacturing of medium sized thin metallic pressure resisting containers suitable to contain pressure liquids, such as beer, etc. First of all, a hot melt adhesives 4 is applied to a stepped part 3 and a projected part 3' of the second piece 1'. Then, the opened end of the first piece 1 is fitted to the stepped part 3 of the piece 1' along the surface of the adhesives 4. Then a high frequency induction heating is performed for a short period on pieces 1 and 1' by copper coils 5 and 5', so that the temperature at the stepped part of the piece 1' will become higher than that at the opened end of the piece 1. When the heated part is cooled by spouting air through air spouting ports 7 and 7' after the heating is completed, the fitted part of the piece 1 is cooled faster than the stepped part of the piece 1'. In this way, it is arranged at the time of heating and cooling than an appropriate adhering pressure can be obtained.
