Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The semiconductor element 9 for electric power having the function to be made to OFF state by itself is connected between middle terminals of the bridge circuit consisted of rectifier diodes 5-8 to be applied with the AC voltage 1, and the semiconductor element 9 for electric power having the function to be made to OFF state by itself is controlled to perform ON and OFF plural times during one cycle period of the AC input to control the AC supply electric power to be fed to a load 4. Accordingly because electric power supplied during the period of half cycle of the AC electric power source voltage can be controlled by this way, phase control of the AC electric power, control of electric power by pulse-duration modulation of the AC electric power and control of frequency conversion of the AC electric power can be performed.
