Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve an accurate concentration without replacing a liquid to be measured in a sampling container by removing any foreign matter from the course of a detected wave with a foreign matter removing means. CONSTITUTION:With one on/off valve 2 closed, a liquid to be measured is sampled into a vessel 4 and the other on/off valve 3 is closed to close the vessel 4. Then, the pressure in the vessel 4 is increased with a pressure defoaming machine 5 to eliminate bubbles in rhe liquid. Under such a condition, concentration derectors 6 and 7 detect the concentration of floating solid matters in the liquid. At this point, even if entering the ultrasonic course between a wave transmitter 6 and a wave receiver 7, any foreign matter can be moved with the liquid by driving a rotor 9. Thus, no foreign matter makes the concentration detection disabled. The rotor 9 can be always driven.
