Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a curved hose of reducing amount of working labor and making the hose longer by a method wherein unvulcanized hose material is molded by extrusion around a mandrel capable of plastic deformation and this hose body is bent and vulcanized. CONSTITUTION:A mandrel 10 is straightened from a coil wheel 10a and fed into an extruder 11 and unvulcanized rubber is coated thickly around the outer circumference of the mandrel 10 to provide a hose body 12. The hose body 12 made in this way is bent and molded in an desired shape together with the mandrel 10. Then, the bent and molded hose body 12 is inserted into a vulcanization tank 13. In this case preferably, the hose 12 is mounted on a vulcanization molding fixture 14 having a mounting surface 14a along a curved shape in order to prevent the mandrel from deforming by means of its own dead weight. The mandrel 10 is removed from the hose body 12 having the mandrel 10 vulcanized in the vulcanization tank 13 and the hose body 12 is made up in the shape of continuous connection hoses H and then cut off at each connection hose H.
