Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a device which synthesizes a current precisely without any synthesis error due to energizing impedance like a current transformer, by using a polarizing rotary element and by utilizing light as a medium. CONSTITUTION:Currents I1 and I2 are flowed to energizing coils 22a and 22b of a polarizing rotary device 20 to establish a magnetic field in the axial direction of a magnetic optical rotatory body 21. The plane of polarization of the optical rotatory body 21 turns in proportion to the intensity of the magnetic field according to the Faraday effect. A synthesized current regenerating device 40 is equipped with an analyzing element 44 and unless the plane of polarization of light polarized by a polarizing element 32 is turned, no light passes through the element 44. As the plane of polarization is turned by a rotary device 20, the light reaches a photoelectric element 45 via the analyzing element 44 to generate electromotive force. It is amplified to obtain a current I3 flowing to a closed circuit 48 including an energizing coil 42 and a load 47. This current I3 produces a magnetic field around a magnetic optical rotatory body 41 in the device 40 to turn the plane of polarization in the opposite direction to the device 20. In this case, I3=I1+I2 holds for adequate coefficients.
