Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the storage capacity and program quantity which are required for learning control in an electronic control fuel injection type internal combustion engine which determines the fuel injection depending upon the operation status of the engine by improving the learning control method for the error correction of the fuel injection time.
CONSTITUTION: A CPU34 calculates the basic injection time from the intake pipe negative pressure signal by a negative pressure sensor 10 and the speed of revolution signal by an angle sensor 32, applies the feedback correction corresponding to the O2 concentration in exhaust gas by an O2 sensor 18 and the correction by water temperatures to this basic injection time, and obtains the effective injection time τe. Besides, by using the added values of this effective injection time τe, ineffective injection time τv, and error correction τc, the drive time of a fuel injection valve 26 is controlled. In this case, when an engine is idly operated, the average value of the O2 concentration is obtained. The said error correction τc is determined by learning control so that this average value can be within a specified range.
