Abstract

PURPOSE:To inhibit copper and a copper alloy from corrosion over a long term while maintaining the original color tones by using a water soluble corrosion inhibitor A, benzotriazole B and a solvent and specifying the wt. ratio A/B and the total amount of the corrosion inhibitors (A+B). CONSTITUTION:This corrosion inhibiting composition consists of a water soluble corrosion inhibitor A, benzotriazole B and a solvent. In the composition the wt. ratio of A/B is 0.3-10, and the total amount of the corrosion inhibitors (A+B) is >=0.02wt%. As the corrosion inhibitor A >=1 kinds of salts selected from the following group are used. The group consists of monoethanolamine salt of benzotriazole, diethylamine salt of benzotriazole, cyclohexylamine salt of benzotriazole, morpholine salt of benzotriazole, isopropylamine salt of benzotriazole, diisopropylamine salt of benzotriazole, ethylenediamine salt of methylbenzotriazole and diethanolamine salt of methylbenzotriazole.
