Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure an accurate detection of the noise intensity, by giving distinction between the higher harmonic component and the noise of an aural signal. CONSTITUTION:A receiving circuit 2 supplies a received signal (a) converted into an aural band to a filter 3 and also supplies the voltage proportional to the intensity of received electric field to a comparator 11 of an electric field intensity deciding circuit 10. For the signal (a), only the noise component (b) is extracted. Then the signal (a) is rectified through the 1st and 2nd wave detectors 5 and 8 respectively. The voltage rectified through the detector 5 is turned into the input of a switch 15 via a amplifier 6. The voltage rectified through the detector 8 is compared with the reference voltage V1, and the 1st decision signal (f) is delivered through a comparator 9 when the rectified voltage is higher than the voltage V1. On the other hand, a field intensity signal (d) is compared with the reference voltage V2, and 2nd decision signal (g) is delivered through a comparator 11 when the signal (d) is larger than the voltage V2. These two signals (f) and (g) are supplied to an AND circuit 12, and the switch 15 is opened with the AND output.
