Abstract
PURPOSE:To expose the surface of a photosensitive body to the light passed through a pattern forming device by opposing a two dimensional pattern forming device that has many transparent electrodes in dot array or segment array and a liquid crystal to a charged photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A two dimensional pattern generator has a polarizing filter layer on the surface and has two glass plates arranged like a transparent electrode 81, as for each one character for printing, and further between these plates has a liquid crystal layer of a titanium salt of zirconium acid. The transparent electrodes Ts11- Ts57 are in a line of the odd numbers, once on the same rows are connected in common and a stated arrangement is formed in the following. Such a two dimensional pattern forming device and a photosensitive body are made to rest relatively, are exposed from the rear of said forming device by one such as a flashing light source, and make the light passing through the device expose the surface of a photosensitive body.
