Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the efficiency of collection of substances contained in exhaust gas, by providing a bag filter for collecting solids contained in the exhaust gas, a mechanism for shaking down the collected solids from the bag filter and a mechanism for collecting finer substances contained in the gas, at the rear end of a cleaning cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas inlet pipe 3 is provided on the front end of a cleaning cylinder 1 which is fitted with a cooling air supply pipe 2 in the center of the cylinder 1 so that air can be optionally supplied. The inlet pipe 3 is opened into an expansion chamber 5 in the cleaning cylinder 1. The cylinder 1 also has condensation chambers 6 partitioned by restriction plates 7 and collection chambers 9 filled with a collecting material 10. A gas flow control plate 12 is provided behind the last collection chamber 9. A bag filter 13 is provided downstream to the control plate 12. A gas flow guide cylinder 15 is provided inside the bag filter 13. A collected substance turning cylinder 14 is provided outside the bag filter 13. A cover 25 is provided downstream to the filter 13 so that a particle reception chamber 24 is defined. Substances contained in exhaust gas are collected therefrom by the bag filter 13 and the cover 25 and then caught in filtration bags 23a, 23b.
