Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase S/N and to achive excellent video quality, by separating the band of a video signal at least into three frequency bands and adding a high band component to a low band component obtained from a band separation means among the signal processing obtained from a plurality of signal processing means. CONSTITUTION:When a signal is inputted to an input terminal 11, a signal from a low pass filter 12 is a low component (e). A signal from a middle range filter 13 is introduced as an intermediate component (a). An output signal from a high band filter 14 is introduced as high band component (c). The output signal from a band pass filter 13 is inputted to a limiter circuit 15a and outputted as a signal (b). That is, limit is imposed to a noise greater in spectrum in comparison with the video signal and noise is reduced and outputted. The output signal from the high band filter 14 is inputted to a limiter circuit 16 to be a signal (d) and output is made with reduced noise. Thus, especially intermediate and high band components which give visual hindrance in noise is remarkably attenuated for output.
