Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve stable operation and high injection efficiency, by the series connecton of a resistor to a diode connected in parallel with a thyristor to suppress transient phenomenon. CONSTITUTION:When a gate voltage is applied to a gate G1' of a thyristor T1' at timing t1, a current iT1' flows to a coupling section consisting of capacitors C1, C2 and a coarse coupling reactor Tr, and a current iD1' flows with the oscillation of the inherent frequency of the coupling section. When a gate voltage is applied to a gate G2' of a thyristor T2' at timing t2, a current iT2' flows to the thyristor T2' through the energy stored in the coupling section and a current iD2' flows to a diode D2 through the oscillation of the inherent frequency of the coupling section. Thus, the current flowing to the diodes D1', D2' is smaller with resistors R1, R2 and the current flowing to a load is greater, allowing to increase the injection efficiency.
