Abstract

PURPOSE:To make high-precision shading correction without adjustment by providing an area type optical filter, which corrects the quantity of the peripheral light of an image-forming lens, between the image-forming lens and an image-formation surface. CONSTITUTION:An image-forming lens 2 is equipped which forms the image of a screen 1, irradiated with uniformly in a belt shape, on an image-formation surface 3. Between the image-forming lens 2 and image-formation surface 3, or between the screen 1 and the image-forming lens 2, an area type optical filter 6 which corrects the quantity of the peripheral light of the image-forming lens 2 is interposed. The attenuation part 6 of the area type optical filter is shown by the slanting lines in the figure; and the light transmittivity of the attenuation part 6 is set to 60% uniformly, and the other parts has 100% transmittivity. The figure shows that when a circle 52 is included completely in the filter attenuation part 6, a major part of a circle 54 is covered and an extremely small part of a circle 53 is covered to the contrary.
