Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an exchange of the battery of a DC-DC converter to needless by a method wherein an output terminal of the converter is used both as a charging terminal, and when the battery is exhausted, an outside charging addapter is connected to the output terminal to perform charging reversibly. CONSTITUTION:The battery 5 is connected between an input terminal 1 and a common terminal 2 of the DC-DC converter 4, and a circuit being connected in series a Zener diode ZD1 and a diode D1 for prevention of reverse-current is connected as to make a Zener current to flow from the output terminal 3 to the output terminal 1. When a voltage higher than the output voltage thereof is applied between the output terminal and the common terminal, the battery 5 can be charged from the output terminal 3 making to take out the battery whenever charging is to be performed to needless, and the output terminal of the converter can be used both as the charging terminal. Moreover when a Zener diode ZD2 is connected to the output terminal 3, because it can be made to act for regulation of the output voltage, the converter can be made to stop when the battery is to be charged.
