Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for the heat treatment at high temperature wherein a heat reactant capable of generating heat is preheated to 600-1,200 deg.C under unoxidizing or unreacting conditions and then is caused to be in contact with a mixed gas of oxygen and nitrogen or air, so that a sample is subjected to heat treatment by the heat generated at that time. CONSTITUTION:Into the heat treatment apparatus, a mixture 5 of aluminum foils with carbon is introduced to be filled in a space between a heating crucible 3 and a sample crucible 4. After this mixture 5 that will react exothermically is preheated to 600-1,200 deg.C under the conditions in which it is kept away from access of oxygen, when it is caused to be in contact with air or a mixed gas of oxygen and nitrogen, the mixture 5 generates heat rapidly and its temperature reaches about 1,800-2,000 deg.C.
