Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish a heat-efficient regeneration of a catalyst through dilution control with O2 so that the temperature is held within such a range as to cause no sintering of the catalyst, along with application of heat from oxidation-regeneration reaction of an iron sulfide catalyst after treatment of a gas containing H2S and the like with O2 to a heat source which is necessary for the control of catalyst regeneration reaction temperature.
