Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the effect of noise signal or halation, by concluding the existence of a level fault in case the pickup signal does not reach a low threshold value or reaches high threshold value in a certain number of times or more within a prescribed region. CONSTITUTION:A pickup signal (a) is applied to comparators 2 and 3 from an input terminal 1 to be compared with a high and low threshold values VH and VL. Then the output of the signal (a) is set at 1 as long as it is larger than the value VH and VL each. A logical product is secured at AND circuits 8 and 9 for output signals (b) and (c) of circuits 2 and 3 respectively with a signal (c) that masks the viewfields excepting a desired one to be supplied to pulse counting circuits 10 and 11. The circuits 10 and 11 count the number of pulses contained in output signals (e) and (f) of the circuits 8 and 9 once over a viewfield and obtain the frequencies in which the signals (e) and (f) reach the levels VH and VL respectively to deliver these number of times to comparators 4 and 5. The circuits 4 and 5 deliver fault detection signals (g) and (h) to an OR circuit 14 when the contents of the circuits 10 and 11 exceeds the reference level or does not satisfy the reference level.
