Abstract
PURPOSE:To compensate a picture signal, by storing a dark time signal which is integrated for the same time as the sensing time required for the pickup of an objective while closing a shutter, to a storage medium. CONSTITUTION:In picking up an objective 4 of a low intensity of illumination by using an electronic camera 1 consisting of a solid-state image sensor 2, an optical system 3, a driving circuit 5, a signal processing section 6, a storage section 7 and a shutter 8, a sensing time is made longer, a dark signal component, and the quality of picture is deteriorated. To prevent it, after obtaining a picture signal, the charge with a dark current of s solid-state image sensor is stored on each photo sensing picture element and stored in a storage medium together with the picture signal. At the reproduction of picture, a difference between the picture signal and the dark time signal is taken for each picture element to obtain a reproduced picture.
