Abstract

PURPOSE:To substantially eliminate the effect of leakage current, by sufficiently making the resistance value of a load resistor smaller than a resulting resistance value of a resistor of non-selection bit connected parallel with a selecting bit, in a matrix connection of a photoconductive element. CONSTITUTION:Photoconductive elements R11-Rmn are connected in matrix, and a resistance value of a load resistor 10 is sufficiently made smaller than a resulting resistance value of resistors 111-11m and 121-12n connected to the non-selecting photoconductive elements R11-Rmn. Thus, when the photoconductive element R11 is selected by turning on, e.g., swtiching transistors 41 and 81, since photoconductive elements R21-Rm1 of another block are connected in parallel with the photoconductive element R11, no current flows to a load resistor 10 and no effect is induced. Since the photoconductve elements R12-R1n in the same block are connected in parallel with the load resistor 10, and the effect is induced. Since the value of the load resistor 10 is taken sufficiently lower than the resisting resistance of the resistors 122-12n, no practical problem is caused.
