Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve safety and reliability by providing a pair of electrode bodies closely to each other in order to impress voltage on a positive resistance temperature coefficient resistor mainly composed of a conductive filler consisting of a fractionized composite, in which conductive fine powder is dispersed in rubber, and a crystalline polymer. CONSTITUTION:A pair of electrode bodies 5 and 6 are stuck to the upper and lower surfaces of a positive resistance temperature coefficient resistor 4 mainly composed of a conductive filler consisting of a fractionized composite, in which conductive fine powder is dispersed in rubber, and a crystalline polymer. This conductive filler has its proper volume resistance larger than that of conductive fine powder, further having an almost fixed resistance temperature characteristic at the application temperature of this heater and a stabilized resistance value. Since the conductive filler has high resistance like this, the number of the contact points between adjacent conductive fillers extremely increases and a composition ratio can be easily regulated so that the arrangement of the conductive fillers is hard to be collapsed in the lapse of the time, even in case a resistor composite having extremely high resistance above 10<3>OMEGAcm is manufactured while being dispersed in a crystalline polymer. Thereby, a stabilized resistance temperature characteristic can be realized.
