Abstract

PURPOSE:To select an auto resrarting and an initial starting mode freely upon power recovery through simple constitution, by writing mode data which corresponds to the setting to a nonvolatile memory when a break of power reception is detected. CONSTITUTION:With a set switch 8, output gates 10-1, 10-2... are controlled through photocouplers 9-1, 9-2... to set a mode state which corresponds to a data input equipment 4-M. When a break of power reception is detected at a power source part 7, said set contents are written in the initial part of a processing program for a power failure in the program memory 2, etc., of a nonvolatile memory device through a CPU1. After the power failure is recovered, the CPU1 reads a set mode program to restart data processing in set mode such as an auto restarting mode for continuously processing information before the power failure and an initial starting mode for processing information successively after an initial state. Thus, the simple constitution obtained only by adding the set switch selects the auto restarting and initial starting modes freely.
