Abstract

PURPOSE:To adapt a data transmission system to data volume to make an efficient data transmission possible by transmitting data in the start-stop system and the synchronous system in case of small and large data generation volume from the external respectively. CONSTITUTION:In the transmission side, data is transmitted in the start-stop system in case of small data generation volume from the exteranl; and when control part 3 detects that data is increased, a control code which indicates the start of the synchronous transmission is transmitted. Meanwhile, in the receiving side, control part 12 detects the control code and a data volume code, and AND gate 21 is opened for data, which is received continuously, by decoded data volume to receive data dependent upon the synchronous transmission system; and when data receiving in the synchronous system is completed, the recieving mode is automatically returned to the start-stop system mode. As a result, data transmission can be efficiently performed suitably to the change of data volume.
