Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a thermosetting resin composition having excellent crack resistance and impregnating property in a coil, by compounding a specific liquid polybutadiene with an isocyanate compound at a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by compoundig (A) at least one polyol selected from a liquid 1,4-polybutadiene homopolymer, styrene-butadiene copolymer and acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer each having a molecular weight of 500W10,000 and having hydroxyl groups at both terminals of the molecule, with (B) an isocyanate compound of formula (l, m and n are 2W10) wherein the equivalent ratio of the active hydrogen group of the component (A) to the isocyanate group of the component (B) is 1 to 0.6W1.3. The composition is preferably made flame retardnat by adding (C) 30W3pts.wt., based on 70W97pts. of the component (A), of a shortchain polyol, (D) 40W150pts. of hydrated alumina, and (E) ≥10pts. of red phosphorus.
EFFECT: The composition has good adhesivity to the parts of a TV flyback transformer.
