Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve whole printing speed without impairing the quality of printing by a methode in which in case where actual printing number for one line is small, the printing speed is decreased and the delivery control time of a carriage is shortened. CONSTITUTION:The code row of printing line sent through an interface board 113 is stored in a buffer memory 104 by CPU 101, and in case where the number of printing letters is small, blank number required for controlling speed, printing blank number at equal speed, and actual printing letter number other than the blank number are counted, and each of data is stored in a printing control memory 103. Then, in the CPU 101, accelerating time is calculated in reference to the data of the memory 103 and set in a timer 102, timing is taken by the time interruption PI, a carriage motor 111 is driven through the carriage board 109 and a carriage driver 110 to accelerate the speed of the carriage, a pin exciting signal PA and a data signal PB are sent to a pin data output port 106, and printing is made by exciting the printer head 108 through the pin driver 107.
