Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the printing noise of a mechanical printer by forming at least a part of parts related to the impacting operation of the mechanical printer from an alloy capable of performing a thermoelastic martensite transformation. CONSTITUTION:A dot wire 1 is connected with an armature 2 at a fitting position 3, and the armature 2 is fixed to the end of a yoke 5 by a keep plate 4. The armature 2 is attracted by a driving electromagnet 7 by its excitation, retreated by the non-excitation of the electromagnet 7, and contacted with a stopper 9 for controlling. In printing, noise is produced in the collision of the dot wire 1 against the printing face and the collision of the armature 2 against the electromagnet 7 and the stopper 9. In the printer, since all or part of the dot wire 1, the armature 2, the fitting position 3, the keep plate 4, the yoke 5, the stopper 9 and a base 8 are made of an alloy with a thermoelastic martensite transformation, the noise in the collision can be reduced.
