Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned printing head wherein the performance of an electromagnet for driving a printing hammer is improved and the large increase of speed is made possible, by providing an auxiliary magnetic pole in a specified position and by making the printing hammer shake around a supporting point part located between the auxiliary magnetic pole and an electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary magnet 14 is provided either between a permanent magnet 12 and an electromagnet 13 provided at both ends of a yoke 11 or on the outside of the electromagnet 13. A printing hammer 15 is made capable of shaking around the supporting point part 17d, as the supporting point therefor, of a hammer spring 17 spanned between comb teeth 16a. The supporting point part 17d of the hammer spring 17 is bent beforehand so that the printing hammber may be attracted easily by the magnetic pole 13a of the electromagnet 13 while standing by. When the printing is commenced, the printing hammer 15 starts to move and is attracted more strongly toward the auxiliary magnetic pole 14 when it passes about a half of a stroke.
