Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a printing hammer, wherein a plate spring has a trapezoid shape, the width of a print action end of the plate spring being smaller than the width of a fixed end of the plate spring, so that excessive force generated during driving of a hammer bank will be absorbed to improve printing quality during high speed printing. CONSTITUTION:The present printing hammer comprises a magnet 4, a york 5, release coils 3, an armature 15 including a movable piece 14 fixed by a printing pin 2, a clamping plate 16 for securing the armature 15, and a screw 6. A fixing platform 12 with the armature 15 fixed thereto is fixed to a supporting spring body which will be driven by a reciprocal movement generator. Since part of the arma ture 15 includes the spring 1 having a trapezoid shape, excessive horizontal force produced at the time of start or stop of driving of the supporting spring body acts on the trapezoidal plate spring and will hardly be transmitted to the acting end, and the excessive vertical movement will be prevented.
