PURPOSE:To produce a foamed body with fixed thickness without generating wrinkles by following process in which foaming mother plate may be expanded freely in three dimensional directions by means of a flow liquid layer etc. equipped on the moving conveyer under a heat-foaming furnace. CONSTITUTION:Liquid such as ethylene glycol is supplied on the moving conveyer under a furnace 2 by a liquid feeder 4. A heat foaming mother plate 1a is fed on this liquid by a feeding roll 7. The mother plate 1a is caused to foam by heating above softening temperature. The mother plate after foaming, as a foamed body 1b, is taken out by a drawing roll 8 equipped at the exit side of the furnace 2. Because the mother plate 1a is carried on the liquid layer 5 on the moving conveyer, it is expanded freely in three dimensional direction, and is heated uniformly without generating roughness, thereby providing the foamed body 1b with good surface-quality.
