Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously vulcanize the extruded material described in the title without deformation, by arranging a heating coil of a high frequeny (HF) induction heater in parallel with the surface of the tape-shaped metal core for the extruded produce, and arranging a supporting roller, which has cut out parts along the shape of the cross section of the bottom of the extruded product, over a microwave (UHF) induction heater.
CONSTITUTION: The extruded product E with the core bar which is extruded from an extruder 1 receives suitable tensile force. The product E is intermediately supported by a supporting roller 11 and conveying rollers 18, and conveyed under the mounted state. Since the cut out parts 9 are formed in the supporting roller 11 along the shape of the cross section of the bottom of the extruded product E, the bottom of the extruded product E is not abnormally deformed by the weight and the like of the core bar 7. Since the heating coil 6 is aligned in parallel with the surface of the tape shaped core bar 7 at the time of HF heating 3, the core bar 7 evenly receives the electromagnetic induction and is heated efficiently to the temperature of about 200°C. After the temperature has been increased by the HF heating, the temperature of the rubber part is increased to the vulcanizing temperature by the UHF heating 4. Then the vulcanizing temperature is maintained in a temperature keeping furnace, and the vulcanization is performed.
