Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable stabilized production in quantity of Fresnel lenses in a process for producing Fresnel lenses from synthetic resin, by employing an endless belt type press molding apparatus provided with molds having shapes reverse to the shape of the lens. CONSTITUTION:The molds having shapes reverse to the shape of Fresnel lenses are arranged on a set of upper and lower stainless steel endless belts 1, 2 and the belts are rotated at the same speed by driving rolls 3. A lens material 8 such as acrylic resins, ABC resins, polystyrene resins, polycarbonate resins, PVC resins, and the like extruded through an extrusion molding apparatus 8 is fed between the upper and lower endless belts 1, 2, and after it is pressed by the molds into Fresnel lenses at parallel travelling sections of a heating zone H heated by heaters 6, the lenses are cooled at a cooling zone C and then removed.
