PURPOSE:To obtain a transmission type screen which is free of moir e fringes, by making the focal length of a lenticular lens less than the thickness of a light diffusing layer, and specifying the pitch of said lens within some range of plate thickness. CONSTITUTION:A transmission type screen 1 is formed of a semitransparent resin plate which contains a kneaded light diffusing agent; the focal length F of the lenticular lens 5 is 1/2-1/20 as great as plate thickness D, and the pitch P of the lens 5 is 1/4-1/40 as great as the plate thickness D. Consequently, the concentric Fresnel fringes of a Fresnel lens 2 are diffused completely by the light diffusing agent and then reach the respective focal points of the lenticular lens, so they never overlap with the lines of the lenticular lens. Thus, the generation of moir e fringes is prevented.
