Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce greatly the occurrence of a Moir e phenomenon for a back projection screen containing a Fresnel lens and a lenticular lens, by setting the pitch ratio between these two lenses at a value within a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:A Fresnel lens 1 is formed an array of the grooves concentric to the base material, and a lenticular lens 2 is formed with the semicylindrical lenses arrayed continuously and longitudinally. A light diffusing means is formed by (A) the mixture of a diffusing agent, (B) the formation of a minute projecting and recessing parts, and (C) the formation of a layer mixed with a diffusing agent. The pitch of the lens 2 is set within a range of 1.35-1.43 or 1/1.43-1/1.35 when the pitch P1 of the lens 1 is set at 1.
