Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the overspeed of a turbine with high reliability through simple constitution, by providing an emergency electric speed governor including speed switch circuits for detecting the overspeed. CONSTITUTION:In the operation of a turbine 24, a real rotational frequency signal is generated through an electromagnetic pickup 29 and an F/V converter 30 so that a steam regulating valve 23 is controlled on the basis of a signal corresponding to the difference between said signal and a signal set by a speed setting unit 32. Other signals are produced by the speed detection electromagnetic pickups 41, 42 of an emergency speed governor and applied to speed switch circuits 44, 50, which generate output signals when the signals of the pickups 41, 42 reach levels set by tripping rotational frequency setting units 43, 49. Relay circuits 48, 51 for operating a tripping solenoid valve 46 and a master tripping solenoid valve 53 are turned on to prevent the overspeed operation of the turbine 24.
