Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to form a uniform powder layer even to the inner surface of an elongated tube, by arranging a powder diffusing element comprising metal net having polarity same to that of a charging apparatus to a position in front of the leading end of a nozzle main body so as to oppose the same to the opening part of the leading end of the main body.
CONSTITUTION: A powdery particulate material such as a fluorescent material or the like is passed through the interior of a nozzle main body 1 along with air stream as well as a charging apparatus 2 charging said powdery particulate material passed through the main body 1 is provided to said main body 1. In addition, a conical shaped powder diffusing element 6 comprising a metal net electrically connected to the apparatus 2 and having potential of polarity same to that of said apparatus 2 is arranged in front of the leading end of the main body 1 so as to be opposed to the opening part of the leading end of the main body 1. As the result, a stream comprising the powdery particles and air injected from the opening part of the leading end of the main body can be changed by the diffusing element 6 and a uniform powder layer can be formed to the inner surface of a bulb 8 even when powdery particles are coated to the inner surface of an elongated tube such as the bulb 8 for a fluorescent lamp capable of taking no sufficient distance between the leading end of the main body 1 and a surface to be coated.
