Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the flow of a powdery paint for an instrument panel into an engine room when a car body is carried through an instrument coating zone in a booth , by shielding the exhaust of an air from the booth in the zone.
CONSTITUTION: A powdery paint for an inside plate is sprayed onto the inside of an engine room 17. A cary body 3 is then carried to a zone 4 for coating an instrument panel. In the instrument panel-coating zone 4, the exhaust of an air is interrupted by a specially arranged steel plate 10, so that the paint sprayed onto the instrument by a specially arranged steel plate 10, so that the paint sprayed onto the instrument panel 15 flows along the directions shown by the arrows (a) and (b) only but not along the direction shown by the arrow (c) withiut any influence of the exhaust. That is, the paint does not flow through a gap 16 into an engine room 17. Consequently, the attractive appearance of the engine room 17 is not degraded by the contamination of the inside of the engine room 17 with the powdery paint for the instrument panel 15.
