Abstract

PURPOSE: To alow an optimum process of the information of another kind, by recording the address signal which is selected and set according to the contents of the recording and changing the speed of a tape to the reproducing speed as soon as the retrieval of an address is over in the reproduction mode.
CONSTITUTION: An address is set by operating an address key 43 in accordance with the contents of the recording, and the coincidence is obtained between the count value of a counter 40 which counts the divided clocks and the value set by the key 43. Thus an address output switch circuit 38 is controlled via a comparator 41. As a result, the clock of a clock oscillator 36 corresponding to the set value is recorded on a magnetic tape 10 in the form of the address signal corresponding to each contents of the recording. The tape 10 is forwarded fast in the reproduction mode, and the desired address signal is retrieved in the same way. Thus a speed switch circuit 50 is controlled by the comparator 41 as soon as the retrieval is over with the address signal. The tape 10 travels at the reproducing speed. As a result, a cassette tape recorder can perform an optimum process for a different kind of information.
