Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an operation of a numerical controller, by connecting an upper computer to a computer in a group control system. CONSTITUTION:The data to control an NC12 is stored in a storage part 7 of an upper CPU6 of an upper computer. When operating the NC12, the data request signan is sent to the CPU6 from a computer (CPU)9 via an interface 8. Receiving this request signal, the CPU6 selects the necessary data out of the part 7 and then sends the data to the CPU9 via the interface 8 for storage. The CPU9 extracts the data out of a storage part 10 after receiving the data transmission end signal and then converts the data into an NC command data to send it to the NC12. Thus the NC12 gives an automatic operation to a machine tool 13 based on the NC command data.
