Abstract

PURPOSE:To expan a slanted diagram with hatched lines and to obtain an expanded diagram with high quality, by providing a means which produces a straight line between two points on an expanded picture correspding to interpolation representing points of a basic picture and a means replacing black dots on the expanded picture by square black dots. CONSTITUTION:A basic picture expanded with a picture memory 3 is transferred to a picture memory 4 with a control signal from a control section 1 and picture selection information on a line 101. Informatin is read in one dot from the memory 4 with an address from an address generating circuit 5, a dot line is produced in a line register 6, an address from the circuit 5 and a magnification rate read out from a magnigication register 7 are multiplied at a multiplication circuit 8, and the address is stored in an expanded picture memory 9. According to the information in the register 6, dots are read in an interpolation representing point discriminating circuit 10, the circuit 10 calculates the interpolation representing point and stores it in an interpolation representing point memory 11. The interpolation representing points are read out from the memory 11 by using a discrmination circuit 16 between straight lines and a vector generating circuit 17 to output an expanded diagram with high quality.
