Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent clogging of the gas inlets due to mist deposit on the napped ends of paper like objects in a honeycomb adsorbing assembly comprising the flat sheet like and wavy paper like objects for conserving adsortive substance, by solidifying the paper like ends constituting the inlets of the gas to be treated.
CONSTITUTION: A honeycomb adsorbing assembly for cleaning device, comprises plural laminated paper like objects 3a and 3b incorporated within a hard case 2. This paper like objects are made by cutting a material to be rectangular forms, which material is manufactured by making sheet of an activated carbon short fiber mixed with synthetic resin and pulp or asbesto, etc. The object 3a is formed as flat sheet like and the object 3b as wavy paper like, and objects 3a and 3b are alternately laminated and constitutes a path 4 for gas to be treated. The gas inlets as the ends 5 of this paper like objects are solidified by immersion into heat resistant solidifying substance comprising urethane resin, epoxy resin, etc., and inorganic material such as silica sol, alumina sol. No reduction of adsorption capacity due to narrowing gas inlets with mist sticking on napped ends of paper like objects is generated, as the end narrowing never occur for this assembly.
