Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the resolution and image density of a photosensitive material manufactured by spreading a photoconductive toner over an electrically conductive support by mixing powder of the toner having specified larger particle size with metallic powder having specified smaller particle size. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material is manufactured by mixing 100pts.wt. photoconductive toner powder >=80vol% of which is particles having 5-20mum particle size with electrically conductive metallic powder such as Ni, Fe or Al powder >=80vol% of which is particles having 1-5mum particle size and by uniformly spreading the mixed powder over an electrically conductive support. The powder layer is electrified by corona discharge and imagewise exposed. The toner and the metal at the exposed part are then removed with an air flow to obtain a toner image at the unexposed part. After superposing a transfer member, by applying an electric field having the reverse polarity, a toner image may be transferred. Thus, by adding the fine metallic powder, the charges of the toner at the exposed part are quickly led to the support to obtain an image with high resolution and density.
