Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce continuously a reinforced soft tube high in the dimensional accuracy, by pressing at an interval an inner tube that is continuously extruded, and reinforcing the inner tube while it is conveyed with air enclosed in the part of the tube that is not pressed. CONSTITUTION:While the inner tube that has been extruded from a first molding machine 2 joined to an extruder 1 is taken up by a first pressing mechanism 7 with a certain tension in the inner tube, it is cooled and set in a water cooling type cooling molder 3, and is passed through an air cooling type cooler 4 where it is completely cooled. The internal pressure of the inner pipe is kept at a certain pressure by supplying air from a mandrel of the molding machine 2. After uniformly applying an adhesive A by an applicator 8 on the outer circumferential surface of the inner tube, reinforcing material RH payed out from bobbins of a unwinding apparatus 11 are wound on the inner tube diagonally. Then after the tube is passed through a heating oven 12 where the adhesive is dried, an outer tube is extruded from a second molding machine 14 to cover the inner tube therewith, the outer tube is cooled by a cooler, and the thus reinforced tube is wound onto a winder 21.
