PURPOSE:To make the maintenance work of a gas meter possible without interrupting the supply of a gas by disposing a three way switching valve on the upper stream side of the gas meter, and selectively branching the gas supply flow passage to a main flow passage and a sub-flow passage. CONSTITUTION:The gas from a gas supply flow passage B is connected to a main flow passage E via a three way switching valve D, and is connected to a flow passage C via a gas meter A and a check valve G. On the other hand, when the valve D is changed over, the gas from the passage B is connectable to the passage C through a sub-flow passage F and a check valve H. Since this device is constituted in this way, the gas which has flowed in the route of the passage E, the meter A, the valve G and the passage C can be supplied in the route of the passage F, the valve H and the passage C by changing over the valve D, at the maintenance work of the meter A, and the maintenance of the gas meter is carried out without interrupting the gas supply to a gas consuming mechanism.
