Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the automatic switching to another receiving frequency of the same braodcast station when the receiving level has a drop, by detecting an instant when the broadcast demodulated outputs are not detected at one time and deciding the same broadcast contents. CONSTITUTION:When a demodulated output detecting circuit 4 detects an interruption of the voice for a certain period, a control part 5 increases the receiving frequency of the present station by an amount equivalent to the minimum inter- station space for a data area 6a of the present station. This increased frequency is used for the receiving frequency of an inspecting station to be stored in a data area 6b of the inspecting station. Thus the probability is detected for the interruption of the demodulated output of the inspecting station which is caused at a moment when the demodulated output of the present station is interrupted. After the interruption is detected with the prescribed probability, a broadcast station having the same contents as the present station is decided. Then the frequency of the area 6a is replaced with that of the area 6b. In such a way, the automatic switching is made possible to a station having the same broadcast contents with a high receiving level.
