Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the bending of the guide bar due to the thermal expansion by a method wherein the guide bar connecting the graphite made anode with the anode terminal outside the glass made enclosure is made a spiral constitution. CONSTITUTION:In the argon laser tube, the guide bar 7' is made a spiral constitution. Consequently even in the case where the clearance between the enclosure and the small tube, anode is eliminated by the thermal expansion of the graphite small tube and the graphite made anode due to the discharging heat of the argon laser tube, the thermal expansion of the metallic guide bar in the axial direction may be absorbed into the changing pitch of the spiral part of the guide bar preventing the guide bar from bending and the laser output from decreasing or stopping oscillation due to the bending of the guide bar blocking the beam stream in the small tube.
