Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a variation of a level and abrasion of a recording medium and a head in case of recording and reproducing, by separately holding a main magnetic pole and an auxiliary magnetic pole by a plate spring of gimbals structure. CONSTITUTION:Onto an upper surface slider 8 consisting of a nonmagnetic material, a main magnetic pole 9 and an auxiliary magnetic pole 10 are fixed, and on a lower surface slider 8' consisting of a nonmagnetic material, a main magnetic pole 9' and an auxiliary magnetic pole 10' are fixed. The upper surface slider 8 and the lower surface slider 8' are held by a plate spring 14 of gimbals structure and a plate spring 14' of gimbals structure, respectively, and the main magnetic pole 9 and the auxiliary magnetic pole 10', and the main magnetic pole 9' and the auxiliary magnetic pole 10 are placed to as to be opposed to each other, respectively. The sliders 8, 8' are in contact with the surface and the reverse side of a magnetic recording medium 7 by elastic force of the plate springs 14, 14'.
